Questions to ask your insurance plan
Call the member services number on your insurance card and ask:
- Is the type of care I want covered? For example, outpatient therapy with a licensed social worker, EMDR, or sessions more than once a week.
- Do I need a referral or prior authorization before I start?
- What will I pay per visit: a copay, coinsurance, or costs toward my deductible?
- Is there a limit on the number of visits each year?
- Are remote (telehealth) visits covered the same way as in-person visits?
Private Pay
We also offer competitive private pay options. Ask us about private pay when we reach out.
Under the federal No Surprises Act, if you're uninsured or choose not to use insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care.

Will my insurance cover my care?
Coverage varies by plan and service. Contact us to verify your benefits. You can call us at 616-287-3218, or email admin@findyourpersonalcourage.com. Please don't include health details in an email; we'll talk privately.
Do you offer private pay?
Yes. We also offer competitive private pay options. Private pay can be an option if your plan isn't one we work with yet, or if you'd prefer not to use insurance. If you're uninsured or choose not to use insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of your expected charges.
What if my insurance plan isn't listed?
We're always adding additional insurance partners. You can still send us an inquiry and choose “Other” for insurance, or ask us about private pay. Call 616-287-3218 if you have questions.
