How Therapy Can Help Young People
Growing up is hard, and sometimes kids and teens carry more than they can put into words. Maybe your child has been more anxious, irritable or withdrawn than usual. Maybe there's been a divorce, a move, a loss or trouble with friends. Maybe their grades have slipped, sleep has changed or you just have a sense that something's off.
Therapy gives young people a space of their own—with someone who isn't a parent, a teacher or a friend—where they can sort through what they're feeling without worrying about being judged. Along the way, they build real skills for handling stress, big emotions and hard situations, and a little more confidence in themselves.
For teens, parents and caregivers
If you're a teen reading this, it's okay to want someone to talk to. Asking for help isn't a sign that something is wrong with you. It's a smart, brave thing to do. Talking to a parent or another trusted adult is a good first step.
For parents and caregivers, you don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out. Get in touch with us, and we'll take time to hear what's going on, answer your questions and talk through next steps together.
