How We Help With Trauma
Trauma can follow a single event or build up over years. It can show up as memories that won't settle, feeling on edge, avoiding reminders or trouble sleeping.
Therapy here puts your safety first. You are a partner in your own care, and we work at a pace that feels manageable.
-
EMDR Therapy
A structured approach that helps your brain reprocess painful memories so they feel less intense and lose their hold on you.
More about EMDR therapy
You don't have to talk through every detail, and your therapist has specialized EMDR training.
-
Intensive Therapy
Meeting more than once a week, sometimes for longer sessions, to work through something specific with more focus and momentum.
-
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Care that recognizes how trauma affects both mind and body.
More about trauma-informed therapy
Your therapist moves at your pace, puts your sense of safety first and makes sure you always have a say in what happens next.
-
Narrative Therapy
Helps you see that you are not your problems.
More about narrative therapy
Together, you'll look at the stories you tell about your life, notice your strengths and begin shaping a story that fits who you want to be.
Veterans, Military Families and First Responders
Veterans and Military Families
Military service and military family life can bring experiences that are hard to put into words: deployments, loss, injury and the move back to civilian life. We offer trauma-informed therapy, including EMDR, for veterans and for military family members.
First Responders
Police officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and dispatchers often carry what they've seen long after a call ends. Therapy offers a private place to set some of that down, with a team that understands trauma.
